Privacy PolicyFIX · Nami Studio

Nami Studio (“the Studio”) protects your personal information and handles related concerns promptly in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea. This policy applies to the iOS app FIX (fixed expense tracker, “the app”), including its widgets, its Apple Watch app and complications, and to this website.

At a glance

1. What we process and why

A. Information processed on your devices

The following information is processed on your iPhone and Apple Watch. The Studio does not receive it and cannot see it.

Your ledger
The recurring income and expense items you enter (name, amount, day, memo, and so on), your accounts and cards (name, bank or issuer, last four digits, and so on), owner names and icons, the items you check off each month and the actual amounts received, and your holiday edits. They are used to show your ledger and calculate totals. The app never asks for full account or card numbers or passwords.
Settings
Values you choose, such as reminder times, which owners to be reminded about, the country, and whether to show the app badge, are used to make the app work the way you set it.
Reminders and badge
Reminders the day before and on the day of each payment, and the app icon badge, are scheduled on your iPhone. No server sends them and no information leaves your device. You can turn them off in Settings › Notifications › FIX.
Widgets
To show what’s left to pay on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, a summary of your ledger is kept in on-device storage shared by the app and its widgets.
Apple Watch
If you use the Apple Watch app, your iPhone sends today’s items, upcoming items, and this month’s totals directly to your paired Apple Watch, and check-offs you make on the watch are sent back to your iPhone. This exchange happens between your own devices through Apple’s Watch Connectivity and does not pass through the Studio.

B. Information stored in your iCloud (only if you turn it on)

iCloud Sync
When you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your ledger is stored in your own iCloud through Apple’s CloudKit and kept in sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account. It is off by default.
Sharing
When you send an invite link and the other person joins, the whole ledger is shared between you. You see each other’s iCloud names, and the user identifier assigned by iCloud is recorded in the ledger to know which owner is whom. Once you stop sharing or leave, the ledgers no longer sync.
Backup
When you tap Back Up in Settings, your ledger and settings are saved as a single file in your iCloud Drive (in the app’s own folder), or on your device if iCloud is unavailable.

Information stored in iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. The Studio cannot access it.

C. Public holiday data (outside Korea)

To move payment dates that fall on public holidays, the app needs your country’s holidays. Korean holidays are calculated inside the app. For other countries, the app downloads the public holiday list from Nager.Date, a free public holiday service. The request contains only the two-letter country code and the year (for example, “DE” and “2026”); none of your ledger or settings is sent. As with any internet request, Nager.Date can see your device’s IP address. The downloaded list is kept on your device so the app can work offline. You can see where your holidays come from in Settings › Country.

D. Information you export yourself

Export as CSV saves a spreadsheet of your items to a location you choose. You decide where the file goes and with whom you share it.

E. Information you send us

Contact email
Your email address, your name (if your mail app includes it), your message, any screenshots you attach, and the app and iOS versions the app pre-fills below your message are used to answer your inquiry and to investigate and fix problems. You can delete the app and iOS versions before sending. If you choose to attach sync diagnostics when asking about sharing, they contain your sync status and recent technical events, which may include owner names.

F. Payments

The Lifetime Pass (a one-time purchase, not a subscription) is purchased and restored through Apple’s App Store in-app purchase. The Studio does not receive payment information such as your name, payment method, or Apple Account. The app loads the price from the App Store and checks whether you own the pass using the purchase record Apple provides. If the purchase is refunded, the app returns to the free version. Payment processing is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

2. How long we keep it

3. Sharing with third parties

The Studio does not share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law. Sharing a ledger happens because you invite someone directly, and it does not pass through the Studio.

4. Processors and international transfers

The Studio does not outsource the processing of personal information. However, because contact emails are received through Apple’s iCloud Mail, they are stored on Apple’s servers.

Recipient
Apple Inc. (privacy inquiries)
Legal basis
Article 28-8(1)(iii) of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea. The storage is needed to answer your inquiry and is disclosed in this policy.
Countries
The United States and other countries where Apple operates data centers
Information transferred
The email address, name, message content, attached screenshots, and app and iOS versions contained in your contact email
When and how
Transmitted over the network when you send a contact email
Purpose
Receiving and storing contact emails
Retention
The same as the contact email retention period in section 2
How to opt out
No transfer takes place if you do not contact us by email. This does not affect your use of the app.

iCloud, the App Store, and Nager.Date are services the app uses directly on your behalf (see sections 1-B, 1-C, and 1-F). They are not processing that the Studio has outsourced, and only a country code and year are sent to Nager.Date.

5. How we delete information

Contact emails whose retention period has ended are permanently deleted from the mailbox so they cannot be recovered, and they are never printed or kept on paper. The Studio does not store the information the app handles, so you can delete it yourself with Delete All Data in the app, by deleting the app, or by removing the app’s data in iCloud settings.

6. Your rights

7. How we keep information safe

8. Cookies and tracking

The app does not use cookies, the advertising identifier (IDFA), analytics or tracking tools, or crash-reporting tools. However, if you turn on Share With App Developers in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone, Apple may share crash logs with the Studio in a form that does not identify you. This website does not use cookies or visitor analytics either. Cloudflare, which serves the website, and Google Fonts, which provides the fonts, may process your IP address and browser information when you connect; the Studio does not receive this information.

9. Children’s privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 14. If a child under 14 emails us, we use the email only to reply and delete it promptly at the request of a parent or legal guardian.
